Re~Cycle | Bicycle Aid

This is an old story going that came through before Christmas thanks to a wonderfully inventive Christmas tree in Bermondsey Square in London designed by Sarah Wigglesworth Architects. There is also a magnificent bike shed there permanently designed by the same architects.

The tree was made with donated parts from a UK charity called ReCycle whose mission is to simply collect second hand bikes and ship them to Africa. They already shipped 350 bicycles to Haiti since established. It would be nice to ramp up the effort and get out all those bicycles lying under an inch of dust in the darkest corners of garages throughout the country and send them off to Haiti, god know they need them.
